I specialize strictly in high-quality, computerized edge-to-edge pantograph designs to give your project a beautiful, professional finish.

My baseline quilting rate is $0.02 per square inch if you supply your own batting, or $0.025 per square inch if you would like to use our premium studio Hobbs 80/20 batting (we carry a $45.00 minimum charge per project). 

I pride myself on fast, reliable boutique service—our average turnaround time is just 2 weeks from the moment your quilt arrives in the studio to the time it is beautifully stitched and ready for pickup or return shipping. 

Please review our step-by-step checklist below to prepare your project for its longarm journey. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to send a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. 

To help me give your quilt the most beautiful, pucker-free finish possible, please follow this quick checklist before dropping off your project. Proper preparation keeps our turnaround time fast and protects your hard work!

• Press Flat: Press all your seams flat. Flat seams prevent the longarm foot from catching and ensure perfectly even stitches.
• Trim Loose Threads: Clip any long, loose threads on the back of your quilt top, especially dark threads behind light fabrics, so they don’t show through.
• Squaring Up: Ensure your quilt top lies flat and square. If borders are wavy, it can cause folds or puckers during the quilting process.
• Mark the Top: If your quilt top has a specific "top" or orientation, please pin a small note to that edge indicating "TOP."

The Golden Rule (Size Matters): Your backing fabric must be 4 to 5 inches larger than your quilt top on all four sides. (For example, if your quilt top is 60" x 70", your backing should be at least 68" x 78"). This extra fabric is required to safely clamp the backing to the longarm frame.

• Trim the Selvages: If you had to piece your backing fabric together, please trim off the stiff selvage edges along the seam. 
• Mark the Top: If your backing fabric is directional, pin a note to the top edge indicating "TOP."

We have Hobbs 80/20 batting available for $0.005 per square inch. You can choose from either natural or black.

If Bringing Your Own Batting

• Size Overage: Just like your quilt backing, the supplied batting must be 4 to 5 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides.
• Note: If you prefer to skip the store run, I stock premium Hobbs 80/20 cotton/poly blend batting right here in the studio!

 If you have selected our optional binding services, please ensure your fabric or pre-made strips meet these exact studio specifications:

If You Are Providing Pre-Made Binding:

• Width: Must be cut exactly 2.5 inches wide.
• Style: Straight strips only (Please do not send bias-cut binding).
• Prep: Strips must be joined on the diagonal and pressed in half lengthwise.
• Length: Total length must equal the exact perimeter of the quilt plus an additional 12 inches of overage. 

If You Want Salty Kitten to Make Your Binding:

• Fabric Amount: Please ensure you send enough yardage for me to cut 2.5” x WOF (Width of Fabric) strips for the entire perimeter of the quilt, plus an additional 12 inches of overage.

Note: All machine binding is sewn securely to the FRONT SIDE ONLY of the quilt, leaving it ready for you to hand-turn and finish comfortably at home!

For Local Customers:

• Drop-Off: Please contact me directly via phone or Facebook Messenger to schedule a convenient quilt drop-off appointment at the studio.
• Payment: Local customers can pay via cash, check, or credit card directly at the studio when picking up your completed quilt. 

For Mail-In Customers: To mail your project to the studio safely, please follow these steps:

1. Fill Out the Form: Print and complete our Quilt Intake Form, making sure to sign the policy agreement at the bottom.
2. Pack Safely: Place your pressed quilt top, backing fabric, and completed form inside a clean, waterproof plastic bag first to protect them from weather during transit.
3. Box It Up: Secure the plastic bag inside a sturdy cardboard shipping box and mail it to the studio address listed on your intake form.
4. Track Your Box: Always keep the tracking number provided by your shipper (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) so you can monitor your package. 

Invoicing & Return Shipping:

• Secure Online Invoicing: When your quilt is complete, I will send you an email with a secure link to your final invoice. You can easily and safely pay online using any major credit card or debit card.
• Prompt Shipping: As soon as your invoice is paid in full, I will safely package and ship your completed quilt right back to you.
• Flat-Rate Return: Return shipping is a flat $10.00 fee and automatically includes package insurance and a tracking number for your peace of mind.
