Hi there! I’m Brandy, the creative hands and machine operator behind Salty Kitten Quilting. My journey into the world of longarm quilting started with a deep love for the craft and a dream to help fellow quilters bring their beautiful visions to life. When it came time to name my studio, I wanted something close to my heart—so my kids stepped up and designed our adorable logo, officially naming us Salty Kitten Quilting! We are located in Northeast Missouri, just ten minutes from Quincy, IL, and specialize in high-quality computerized edge-to-edge pantograph designs. I treat every single quilt top that comes through my door like a unique work of art. Whether you need a cozy baby quilt finished or a massive heirloom King quilt stitched, I am here to help, You've poured your heart, time, and talent into piecing a beautiful quilt top - now let us help you give it the Purr-fectly finished touch it deserves!
Meet the Studio Assistants
Every great longarm quilter needs a dedicated studio team, and mine is led by the inspiration behind our name: Kit Kat (affectionately known as "Salty"). Kit Kat earned her nickname thanks to her classic Tortoiseshell personality—she has just enough "tortitude" to keep things spicy, but she’s pure sweetness at heart! She takes her job as su-pur-visor very seriously, usually from a cozy sunny spot near a window. We are also thrilled to welcome our newest junior assistant, Reese, to the Salty Kitten lineup! While they are strictly banned from touching the quilt frame and customer quilts, they both do an excellent job keeping me company and making sure the studio energy stays warm, creative, and full of love.
A Little Note About Our Homepage Quilt
If you look closely at the gray and orange cat quilt featured on my homepage, you might spot some unique character in the stitches! I didn't use my advanced Gammill Statler computerization to stitch that one. It was actually one of my very earliest attempts at a hand-guided pantograph using my first longarm machine.
The design I used on the quilt is called Cats N Yarn, and I love it so much that I've added it to our digital design library for you to choose for your own quilts! This project holds a very special place in my heart because it reminds me so much of my furry friends!
